SSAA VARMINT PISTOL
The Varmint Pistol event is shot at State level over distances of 25, 50 and 100 metres. However the Club is limited to the 25 and 50 metre events.
Pistols are rested on custom made pistol rests for the event lending itself to some very competitive and accurate shooting.
The club has a number of Varmint Pistols available to club members to use.
PISTOL: Any single shot or bolt action .22LR pistol. Most guns are custom made from rifles with shortened barrels and custom stocks.
PISTOL SPECIFICS:
• Telescopic rifle sights are allowed
• Max barrel length is 330mm
RESTRICTIONS:
• .22LR only
AMMUNITION:
• .22LR rimfire
TARGET: 4 sets of Varmint Pistol Targets
COURSE OF FIRE:
48-shot match, as follows,
• 4 series of 12 shots per target with 5 minutes per series.
SCORING: Maximum possible scoring is 480.
GRADING:
Grades are reset each year.
To qualify for the next grade these scores must be shot three times.
