PORT BOUVARD REVOLVER
The revolver match is shot single or double-handed using whatever revolver the shooter chooses. The competitor engages targets at 50, 25, 15 and 10m positions in timed shooting series on varying targets.
REVOLVER: Any single or double action .22LR rimfire or centrefire revolver up to .38/.357 calibre including Service & WA1500 type revolvers.
REVOLVER SPECIFICS:
There are separate classes for Rimfire and Centrefire revolvers. Each includes a “Restricted’ class in which all hand guns must have open sights and a maximum barrel length of 6” (150mm), and an ‘Unrestricted’ class with no limitation on barrel length or optical sights. However, laser sights are not permitted and no compensators or ported barrels are permitted for Centrefire firearms.
RESTRICTIONS – both classes:
- No palm shelf or orthopedic type grips that provide support to the hand or wrist.
- No compensators or ported barrels permitted.
- Triggers – There shall be no restriction on the weight of the trigger pull provided it functions safely and as originally intended. Trigger shoes or extensions of any kind are not permitted to protrude beyond the dimensions of the trigger guard.
