ARCHERY

Archery Division Overview

Archery is a new division currently being introduced to the club

1. Styles of Archery and Membership:
The styles of archery to be offered by the club include both traditional and modern
forms. Membership is comprised of existing members who are already interested in
archery or currently participate in this activity elsewhere.

2. Range Access for Existing Club Members:
The prospective archery range is designated for use by existing members, who may
utilise it for practice sessions and internal club competitions. The range will not be open
to the general public or walk-in participants. All activities will be logged and registered,
consistent with the club’s approach for other activities, which assists in allocating
resources appropriately.

3. Equipment Provision:
The club will not be hiring out equipment; members are expected to use their own bows
for archery activities. The club will provide Targets only for matches arranged by the club.
However, members can purchase targets from the club for their own practice use. The club does have some equipment for existing and prospective archery members to trial and use during their induction to the sport.

4. Range Style and Disciplines:
The club will provide for target and traditional archery only, utilising static shooting
positions. Distances will range from 10 metres to 50 metres.

5. Archery Only Membership-(Associate):
The club welcomes new Archery Membership in the form of an Associate Membership.
Associate Archery Application forms are available from the Club office.
Nomination fees apply and once accepted as a member by the Committee each person
will be booked in for an orientation/induction to Archery specifics and this will cover
safety, club rules and conditions of entry.

Associate memberships – will be required to meet all safety requirements as laid down
in our RSO’s. (Range Standing Orders). Associate memberships however, have no voting
rights and cannot apply for a key/fob to access club grounds.

If you would like to join as as associate member you will be required to make an appointment by email. Days available are Wednesday or Saturday mornings only between 10 -11am to discuss requirements. Please email: secretary@portbouvardpc.com.au to make this appointment and a designated committee member will be allocated to discuss the process with you.
