PORT BOUVARD REVOLVER
The Port Bouvard Revolver match consists of 60 rounds (plus an optional 6 pre-match sighting rounds at 50m) shot single or double-handed under timed fire using whatever revolver the shooter chooses. Each competitor shoots two x 6 shot series at 50, 25, 15, 10 & 7m distances on varying targets.
REVOLVER: Any single or double action .22LR rimfire or centrefire revolver up to .38/.357 calibre including Service & WA1500 type revolvers. Single action revolvers must be able to have the hammer down safely on all 6 chambers without risk of an accidental discharge.
REVOLVER SPECIFICS:
There are separate classes for rimfire and centrefire revolvers. Each includes a “Restricted’ class in which all revolvers must be equipped with open (metallic) sights and a maximum barrel length of 6.5” (165mm), and an ‘Unrestricted’ class which permits barrel lengths up to 10″ (260mm) and optical sights. However, laser sights are not permitted and no compensators or ported barrels are permitted.
RESTRICTIONS – both classes:
- No palm shelf or orthopedic type grips that provide support to the hand or wrist.
- No compensators or ported barrels permitted.
- Triggers have no restriction on the weight of the trigger pull provided it functions safely and as originally intended. Trigger shoes or extensions of any kind are not permitted to protrude beyond the dimensions of the trigger guard.
