Mandar
The Mandar handgun discipline is a solely West Australian event and is used as the primary teaching match at the Club.
The event is shot single or double-handed engaging targets at 25, 15 and 10m positions in timed shooting series.
CLASSES OF HANDGUNS
There are two different classes for both Rimfire and Centrefire guns.
- Rimfire – Shall consist of a restricted metallic sight class with a maximum barrel length of 6 inches, and an unrestricted class which permits longer barrels and/or optic sights (as long as they do not project an image on the target such as laser sights).
- Centrefire – Shall consist of a restricted metallic sight class with a maximum barrel length of 6 inches and an unrestricted class which permits longer barrels and/or optic sights (as long as they do not project an image on the target, such as laser sights).
BARRELS:
No compensators or ported barrels permitted for Centrefire firearms.
AMMUNITION:
- Rimfire – Any rim fire in .22 Long rifle. At all registered matches or State titles only .22 long rifle ammunition to be used.
- Centrefire – For centrefire competition, maximum of .38 calibre shall be used.
GRIPS:
- Standard left or right-hand grips.
- No orthopaedic type grips that provide support to the hand or wrist that will prevent the handgun from falling freely to the ground when the hand is opened.

COURSE OF FIRE: 48-shot match loading six rounds only at a time as follows;
- 1st stage (25m): 6 rounds in 35 seconds,
- 2nd stage (25m): 12 rounds in 35 seconds including a mandatory reload,
- 3rd stage (15m) :1 shot in 2 seconds for 12 rounds total, targets turning between shots. Range Officer calls a reload after first six rounds.
- 4th stage (10m): 2 rounds in 2 seconds for 12 rounds, targets turning between shots. Range Officer calls a reload after first six rounds.
- 5th stage (10m): 6 rounds in 4 seconds.
SCORING: Maximum possible scoring is 480.
