The Standard Revolver and Revolver 500 matches are essentially the same match, with the Revolver 500 being a slightly shorter match
without the 50m element.
Standard revolver shooting is intended to offer a challenging & active sport which will test the
capacity of the competitor and their equipment. The event is single or double-handed using whatever revolver the shooter
chooses. The shooter engages targets at 50, 25, 15 and 10m positions in timed shooting series on varying targets.
PISTOL:
Any single or double action rimfire or centrefire revolver
PISTOL SPECIFICS:
• Standard, left or right handed grips. No orthopaedic
grips
• Open sights only
• No trigger weight limitation
RESTRICTIONS:
• Standard
barrels, no compensators or barrel weights allowed
AMMUNITION: .22LR for rimfire
Any ammunition for centrefire
TARGET: Various, see below
COURSE OF FIRE: 60-shot match as follows,
1st stage (50m): 50M
Precision event, 10 shots in 8 minutes, Black Powder target
2nd stage (25m): 25M Precision event, 10 shots in 8 minutes,
International slow fire target
3rd stage (15m) : Timed fire, 2 strings of 5-shots, targets facing for 3 seconds x 5 exposures, Rabbit
target
4th stage (15m): Rapid fire, 2 strings of 5-shots, in 10 seconds repeated, Fox target
5th stage (10m): 5 TARGET EVENT,
2 strings of 5-shots in 10 seconds, 1 shot per Fox head repeated, 5 Fox head target
6th stage (10m): 10M RAPID FIRE, 2 strings
of 5-shots in 10 seconds repeated, Bear target
SCORING: Maximum possible scoring is 600 for mens and women and
irrespective of the revolver style and calibre.
GRADING: A Grade B

Centrefire 460 + 440
- 459 < 440
Rimfire 470
+ 445 - 469 < 445
To qualify for the next grade these scores must be shot
three times.
