Field Pistol is a test of a shooter’s speed and accuracy at various distances. There may be one or multiple targets in different stages and the matches generally require movement between shooting positions that adds to the challenge when competing in these matches.  Field Pistol is designed to be a movement match that adds another dimension to the shooting experience.

PISTOL:  There are four classes of pistol used at Port Bouvard: Standard Rimfire Pistol, Standard Centrefire Pistol, Scoped Rimfire Pistol, and Scoped Centrefire Pistol.  Standard pistols may be fitted with factory or third party fixed sights, adjustable sights, or peep sights. Scoped pistols can be fitted with telescopic sights, electronic sights or laser sights.

RESTRICTIONS:

Minimum magazine capacity of 6 rounds. The minimum barrel length for pistols is 120mm for semi-automatic Pistol and 100mm for revolvers.


AMMUNITIONAny rim fire or centre fire ammunition.


TARGET: SSAA Field Pistol official targets are bullseye style targets and vermin style targets
