The Benchrest Pistol event is shot with handguns made for Varmint pistol shooting and shot from pistol rests at 50 metres.  This event is highly competitive amongst our members and shot as a fun event at Club level only.
 
The club has a number of Varmint pistols available to club members to use for this event.

PISTOL: Any single shot or bolt action .22LR pistol.  Most guns are custom made from rifles with shortened barrels and custom stocks.

PISTOL SPECIFICS:
Telescopic rifle sights are allowed
Max barrel length is 330mm

RESTRICTIONS
.22LR only

AMMUNITION: .22LR rimfire  
                         
TARGET: Benchrest Bullseye Target

COURSE OF FIRE:  10-shot match, shot as 2 series of 5 shots per target
 
SCORING: Groups are measured from center-center of the furthest shots 

GRADING:       
Grading are done by the scorer and grades are reset each year.

To qualify for the next grade these scores must be shot three times.
